Amusing

  • I love this short clip, in it Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy hit back at Fox News during a press conference here in the UK following the London Premiere of their new film. You can’t tell me you haven’t seen the publicity for it as these two have been doing the rounds on every TV and radio show going. Fox News had publically criticized the film for supposedly pushing a 'dangerous liberal agenda' at kids. Which in my view is ridiculous. I love the fact that the Muppets hold press conferences – we should get these guys back on TV every week because they are brilliant.

  • I had to share this video as I spotted this campaign on the news this morning and I think it is a brilliant campaign from the British Heart Foundation that has combined humour with a serious issue. Many people in the UK don’t know how to give CPR when someone is in cardiac arrest and the idea of doing it to the music of Staying Alive is just genius as it makes memorable. If it saves one person's life it will be a campaign worth doing and I think it has been executed beautifully. ...

  • I spotted this on Twitter this morning shared by Simon Apps. Its a song all about Gillian McKeith and her troubles on I’m a Celebrity. It’s one of the most amusing things I have seen in a while and I had to share it. I hope you like it.

It’s been a busy few months over in the Dinosaur caves, we have scooped a number of new social media accounts and we also have a few new team members who will be revealing themselves to you shortly I expect. I don’t normally cover that many case studies on the blog but I decided recently that I am going to try and do more of this. This is mainly because when I have been speaking at events, people really seem to prick up and listen more at the case study section. I think most people prefer to here about ...

  • This has amused me this morning, BBC correspondent Nick Robinson was filming a link for the BBC on Wednesday when a protestor decided to put his placard right behind him on a live link to the studio. Sadly Nick didn’t like this very much and lost his temper and it has become a bit of a YouTube hit. He has posted about it yesterday on his blog which says: If you were watching the 6 O'Clock News last night, you may have seen a "Troops Out" sign on a large pole being waved behind my head. I have a ...

  • I had to share this today as it made me smile, Tom Murphy placed this video on his blog at it cheered me up no end. How many of us have seen pointless PR embargoes? Well this video pokes fun at them and the world of social media marketing – genius.   Embargoes

  • The musician Dave Carroll was taking a trip to Nebraska when he and his band members noticed that their guitars were being broken outside. After complaining to the culprits (United Airlines staff) and getting nowhere he decided to write a song which I have to admit is pretty catchy. It turns out that the song is so catchy that 3.7million people have now watched his video and it has propelled him to a new level of stardom. In fact, the track is in the top 20 in Canada. It just goes to show what a good idea, some humour and a catchy riff can achieve on the Internet through social media. According to Rolling Stone: ...

    Clever viral video from Samsung

Posted by on 23 June 2009

You all know how much I like a good viral, well Samsung is reportedly about to release a new 12 mega pixel HD camera (WB1000) next week and to generate some excitement it has released this clever viral video. Real or not real - you decide? Either way it's very entertaining - so hat tip to the creators.

  • One of my favourite journalist bloggers Sally Whittle has tagged Jed, Louise and I. She has challenged us to share our top 25 tracks for a Friday afternoon. Now I have to say I found this really difficult as there is so much good music out there and I have quite an eclectic taste – so to get it all into 25 tracks is quite a challenge. Unfortunately, S-Club and the Fast Food Rockers didn’t make it in this time – sorry Sally. I have added most of these to my ...
